The entire country is outraged by the incident of a woman being stripped naked and tortured and a video of it being recorded and shared on Facebook under the leadership of the banned organization Chhatra League President Mohammad Ali Sumon of Ramchandrapur South Union in Muradnagar, Comilla. Information has emerged that a certain Fajr Ali, who was involved in the incident, is also an activist of the banned organization Awami League. Neither BNP nor Chhatra Dal had any involvement in this inhumane incident.
But we noticed that the Jamaat Shibir clique distorted the incident and launched a coordinated propaganda campaign against the BNP at midnight. This was led by central Shibir leader Sadiq Kayem and DU Shibir president SM Farhad; who emerged as Shibir leaders from Chhatra League leaders after the mass uprising. Even now, the language of their rumors and the rumors of Sajeeb Wazed Joy are the same.
Shibir leaders have tried to defame BNP leaders and activists by spreading rape rumors involving BNP. They are trying to incite mobs against BNP activists. Even after their rumor mongering was caught, they have not expressed any remorse by admitting their mistake.
Rumors have spread like an epidemic within the student body. The student body is suffering from an incurable disease called rumor terror. This disease has spread like a contagious disease to many new parties. The student body has polluted the political environment by resorting to lies and misinformation.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal are vocal against all forms of violence against women, molestation, rape and all forms of oppression of women. We demand justice for all forms of oppression of women.
