When clouds gather in the sky of Bengal, the Zia family comes as rain

We welcome the historic meeting between the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, and the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Mr. Tarique Rahman. The Zia family appeared in the face of the possibilities and crises of this country to dispel the darkness with light. When the shadow of clouds falls on the path of democracy, the Zia family comes like rain to remove all the dark clouds and bring the brilliance of a bright sun.
The main slogan held at the heart of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party is, 'Bangladesh first'. With that conviction in mind, two leading personalities of the country's two generations met to identify the future prospects of Bangladesh and determine the determination to move forward. Dr. Yunus and Mr. Tarique Rahman opened a new horizon of civilized democratic culture to resolve any crisis through discussion. In Bangladeshi politics, the Zia family has always followed the democratic norms of a developed and civilized country. The meeting between Dr. Yunus and Mr. Tarique Rahman is a continuation of this tradition.
We have always respected Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia supported his development of Grameen Bank and also played a diplomatic role in receiving the Nobel Prize.
Seeing the warm greetings, mutual cordiality and courtesy exchanged between Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Mr. Tarique Rahman, we are extremely optimistic that the future Bangladesh will reach its destination on the basis of this historic meeting. Bangladesh, the beloved motherland, is safe in the hands of the organizational guardian of the Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal and the legacy of Shaheed Zia.
