Chhatra Shibir has insulted the great independence of Bangladesh by putting up pictures of self-confessed opponents of independence on TSC
The foundation of the great war of independence of Bangladesh was laid from the soil of Dhaka University. The flag with the map of Bangladesh was first hoisted at Dhaka University. Today, at the TSC of Dhaka University, the student wing has disgraced the great independence of Bangladesh by hanging pictures of self-confessed opponents of independence and instigators of genocide during the Liberation War, including Nizami, Mujahid, Golam Azam. We strongly condemn and protest.
The Islamic Student Camp is the successor to the 1971 mass murder of the Students' Union and the Al-Badr Force. In the past
Shibir fielded an Al-Badr commander as the DUCSU VP candidate. They have also published anti-independence and derogatory comments against freedom fighters in their party publications.
The Dhaka University administration, the Vice Chancellor and the Proctor are patronizing the Shibir. With the patronage of the administration, they have insulted the university students by committing such a heinous act at TSC. They have hurt the sentiments of all the citizens of the country. The VC-Proctor cannot avoid the responsibility of organizing this Shibir.
In addition, various incidents including the Tofazzal murder, the Samya murder, and the removal of Sheikh Hasina's graffiti have proven the incompetence, inaction, and patronage of mobs and secret organizations by the VC and Proctor. Dhaka University students are disappointed and angry about this.
The permission of the proctor is required for any program of the university organization. The proctor gives permission after reviewing the content of the entire program. It is clear from today's incident that with the permission, consent and patronage of the proctor, the Shibir has put up pictures of anti-independence Razakars and Al Badr forces in TSC. The proctor must accept responsibility for this incident and be held accountable.
