The July Massacre refers to the repression and mass killings carried out by the Awami League government during the mass uprising of students and the public from July 16 to August 5, 2024. This genocidal campaign was carried out by the Awami League government, its affiliates Chhatra League, Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League, and law enforcement agencies in response to the reinstatement of the controversial quota system and widespread public discontent.
