Chhatra Dal
After establishing the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Ziaur Rahman realized that a strong student organization was needed for future BNP leaders, and in light of this, he founded the Chhatra Dal on 1 January 1979. The Chhatra Dal adopted a 19-point program, which was based on the structure and methods of the parent party, BNP.
