The young leader Sharif Osman bin Hadi is a name of unwavering courage. Unwavering on the issue of patriotism, whose resistance never compromised. He did not only fight against fascism on the streets; but more significantly, he fought on the field of culture. He challenged the roots of tyranny through the combination of art, literature, and conscience.
Even though the fallen fascist group killed him by the hands of an assassin, they could not kill his ideology. Sharif Osman Hadi will live on in every cultural resistance we have, in every young voice that does not bow its head, and in that belief that freedom must be defended not only on the streets, but also in the cultural consciousness. His short but inspiring life will remind us: the individual can be killed, but not the legacy.
